I visited at least ten senior communities looking for a caring and wonderful place for my recently widowed 85 year old mom, and this is the best by far. Amazing caring ownership, management and front line staff, from chef and dining room to housekeeping to nursing to maintenance. Everyone I meet here has a warm, genuinely enthusiastic attitude. The grounds and building are lovely, with breathtaking mountain views and lots of open space for walking and socializing. A very homey and luxurious interior with lovely flowers and personal touches. The Lodge is not a corporate organization, but a small private company with a true mission of senior respect and loving care. Excellent and diverse activities are offered. Excellent medical care right on site. The Lodge is relatively small, just over a hundred residents, and the apartments are gorgeous, most with spectacular views and porches. There should be more places like this, but I am thrilled to have found this one for my mom. She loves it.
